2. How can I add my favourite radiostation to Radiotracker?

You can add your favourite station to RadioTracker, provided the station is supported by shoutcast.

To add  a radio station simply open the Stations Dialog Window, then click on Load -> Add manually. In the new dialogue, you can either insert the link to the station you have (and test if it's correct and can be used) or you can load a .PLS file that you had saved from shoutcast.

You have the option to decide the quality of the tracks. Radiotracker makes it possible for you to choose a minimum quality - only radiostations, which comply, are used.

4. Can I install a new Version of Radiotracker over an old Version?

Yes, as long as the major version hasn't changed (first digit of version number). The Licence information are preserved. The favourites and wishlist are lost, although. This can be prevented by backing up the "rtdb" file in the Radiotracker list and copying it back after the installation. The 'rtdb' is indeed considerably up-dated and can fulfill the wishlist clearly better.

Since Radiotracker 4, the wishlist and the favorites are saved automatically when installing a newer version. It's not necessary to save the rtdb anymore.

6. Unable to connect to the Wishlist Server, status 'Connecting...'

If your client permanently stays in the state "connecting...", try the following:

1. Make sure that any firewall (on your PC or internet router) allows Radiotracker to connect to the internet.

2. If you are using a proxy to connect to the internet, check if also the SSL proxy (https) settings are correct. Also, the proxy settings have to be done in the Internet Explorer.

3. Try to change the used ports in the config.ini in the line "WishlistServer=wishlist.radiotracker.com:80" from 80 to 81, 3012 or 443.

(The config.ini is located in C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\RapidSolution\Radiotracker (WinXP) or C:\ProgramData\RapidSolution\Radiotracker (Vista))

4. If the problem started occuring after an update, then please see FAQ #7

8. Error message during installation: "application configuration is not correct" or "unable to register module" "HRESULT -2147010895"

If you get an error like "application configuration is not correct" or "unable to register module" with error coder "HERSULT -2147010895" during the installation of Radiotracker, it's probably because an old version of the vcredist package (vcredist = Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable) ist still installed on your PC. Please uninstall the old package (Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs) and install Radiotracker again afterwards.

If you're having problems with uninstalling the old vcredist package, then maybe Microsoft's tool "Windows Install Clean Up" might help. You can download it for free either on www.microsoft.com or you'll find it on www.google.com.

10. Radiotracker reports, that I do not have sufficient bandwidth. I have, although, a functional connection

Make sure, that the connection is not overloaded by other downloads you started. If you have a firewall or router, 'Radiotracker.exe' should have access to the internet (different outgoing TCP-ports). 'RTAutoTag.exe' should also have access to internet for the completion of tags (outgoing TCP port 80)

11. Why does the 'finishing value' increase?

Radiotracker can rip in a short while many tracks with the nowadays custom bandwidth. After finishing, the tracks are normalised, among other, process that takes a while. If Radiotracker is ripping faster than normalising, the number of tracks to be finished increases. It's best to leave Radiotracker started a while longer after ripping in order to finalise the remaining tracks. Alternatively, you can deactivate the finishing in the Options tab.
